At Arrows Behavior Therapy and Consulting, we are committed to providing a dynamic and enriching internship experience for aspiring behavior analysts. Our internship program offers a unique blend of hands-on learning, personalized mentorship, and innovative supervision techniques.
Interns at Arrows have the opportunity to engage in a hybrid supervision approach, which combines remote oversight and feedback from our Internship Coordinator with on-site supervision that emphasizes modeling and behavior skills training techniques with clients. We offer a diverse range of placement opportunities, including collaborations with K12 schools, multiple established clinics, and in-home sessions across the state, providing interns with exposure to a variety of clinical settings and client behaviors.
We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive and rewarding internship experience that prepares interns for successful careers as behavior analysts. Whether you are a recent graduate seeking to gain practical experience or a seasoned professional looking to expand your skills, we invite you to join us at Arrows Behavior Therapy and Consulting and embark on a journey of growth, learning, and professional development.
We are looking to build competent independence within our interns by targeting the following objectives:
1. Identification of weaknesses- This skill builds a BCBA by identifying when help is needed and what support is available.
2. Receptiveness to feedback- This skill is needed for a BCBA to be a good leader with their team and modifying leadership based on that feedback.
3. Collaboration- Like being receptive to feedback, collaboration is needed to better our programs and protocols with clients. This includes collaboration with other BCBAs or interns. Networking is included in this objective.
4. Leadership integrity- This is a complex objective that helps our BCBAs be leaders of their teams, rather than just managers of behavior.
The following are required to enter the internship program at Arrows:
1. Active RBT Credential
2. At least 3 months of ABA experience
3. Accepted into an ABA Master's program- See our educational partners below
If you have any questions for any of these requirements, we'd love to explain the reasoning behind them!
Our internship program is a source of pride for us, and we're happy to answer any questions any inquiries you may have. Whether you're exploring different internship opportunities or evaluating our program against others, we welcome the opportunity to connect with you and convey our enthusiasm. If you're considering other placements, we value your feedback on how we can enhance our program to better meet your needs.
